I gotta admit I like the SO & NPK stuff: regardless of surface, those cars haul a**. It's entertaining & it's racing, even with the "enhancements"...
The uniform seems to be black T-shirts with sponsor names - except Boddie, who wears plain white T-shirts, which I find amusing (Being he's black, and most everyone else is white).
Back in the early '70s in SoCal, the street action in the SFV was fairly common; at B&M, we'd run 'em during lunch on a side street.
But when you got into L.A. proper, or further South, things got gritty & more confrontational.
Early 70s, a 12-second car would do pretty well; but a couple years later it took 10s to get the money.
As for Radial T/As, 295/50s would just buzz with 540 HP & a 4-speed - that car moved forward much better on M&H DOTs laugh2
