A person could take that idea a few steps further, borrowing a few ideas from the RMS rear suspension.

Replace the leaf spring with a lower link from the housing spring perch to the front spring mount. You could likely use the brackets you have there. Add an upper crossmember, shock mounts on the housing and some coilovers. Housing location device (lateral link would be easy) with the parallel 4 link. Or you could do a non-parellel design with different upper mounts.

We have done this in the past on OE floors & framerails restomod type deals with maybe the inner wheel tub moved in. Works well. And you get the advantages of a 4 link style suspension - which are more than just "more adjustable".
