The more recent black "rubber" valve cover gaskets suck especially the fel pro ones. I wish they still had the old orange rubber ones
The black fel pros are too hard and don't have any "give"
Usually with valve cover gaskets I go snug plus 1/4 turn
They are pretty hard! I think these type would work well if I had studs and load spreaders or different, more solid valve covers...
As hard as they are and with my setup being the stamped covers and bolts, I can't get enough torque on the covers before they deform... Maybe if I had done rtv on both sides but the idea was to be able to reuse them...
