I was watching your experience to see if that box would last.
Not surprised that it didn't.
MSD needs to get their act together. The ready to run all in one distributors are experiencing the same problem.
When we were troubleshooting the box we bought, the tech (I had already done everything he said to try) blamed it on the distributor itself. We ordered an analog 6AL off E-bay and the car fired instantly!
