There is a safer lithium battery in development right now. The trouble has always been dendrites growing from cathode to anode, shorting it out, and causing a fire, or explosion. There is a glass type material, that promises to block all contact, but still allow interpolation.
I have a braile in one car, and 2 go lithiums in another. Both have served me well, I just always have this nagging feeling about them.
Ever try and charge the go lithium with the braille charger?
I know my braille goes to 18.2 full charge.
