Also of note, the diesel version has a larger input shaft and possibly the output shaft as well, I can't remember about that. The larger input shaft precludes using it in a gas application and vice versa as there is no clutch disc available for the conversion. Also you can't just swap input shafts with the GM version either unless the ratios are the same. It gets to be a little confusing. The best bet is to just get a NV4500 from a mid 90's or so truck with a 360 and go from there. The one I have is from a 97 2500. If you plan to get one from a junk yard be forewarned they are heavy, like 250 pounds heavy so bring help.
