I know i must be crazy....but believe it or not, i have steel braided heater hoses that were installed in 1978. Not kidding. Never leaked. Now i have to change them bc i jinxed myself. These come from the Grumman airplane manufacturer. Grumman is/was 20 min from me and where my car came from. So i always thought their quality was probably higher than the braided hose speed parts one could get. Who knows. But 42 years, and no leaks is insane. Thought you’d get a kick out of that.
