I've not heard of any PTFE hoses failing while in use and not bent, twisted or damaged some other way
I owned and maintain my small airplane, 1960 piper Comanche 250, for 16 yrs. Never had any problems with any hose on it but they do have a recommended life span on them and the FAA says you need to follow it, same thing on commercial aircraft but probably a higher, stricter standard
