Yes verdict still out on the rod. I was able to remove the bolt threads from the rod threads with pick and small tip screw driver. Cleaned out with tap, but there is some gall damage to some threads. Lucky not totally destroyed. This is balanced stroked set that was ready for final assembly frown Obsolete rod too.

Which in hind site these new rods are great for clearance in stroked motors and such, but one mistake, or failure and the whole set becomes no good. Manufactures keep changing product design. Even the set of pistons I have use an out dated pin length and I got lucky in one manufacture still uses that length. Otherwise custom run of pins. Live and learn. But I still find it hard to believe that 60ft-lbs on a lubricated thread could have this happen. Wonder if the 2000 alloy more susceptible to this.
