Anyone ever see this happen. This is an ARP 2000 rod bolt. Had rod all cleaned and prepped. Was just checking bearing fit on bench and torqued to 60 ft lbs after hand screwing bolt most of the way in. Torqued fine. When I went to remove bolts, this one was stuck. Soaked in penetrant but required excess force removing. This looked like text book galling and material left in rod thread looked molten. I used a little oil for this check since I was not going to full torque value. Any idea on cause? Rods had been previously torqued for sizing big end, with no problems.
