[quote=Cab_Burge]I found out the hard way that not using a baffle under the vacuum fitting on my new motor caused a lot more oil being sucked into the tank on every run, it would fill the tank up in less than 6 runs pukescope
I swap the old valve covers onto the new motor and cure that problem up
Using the baffle under the fitting resulted in almost pure moisture with in the tank and very little oil up
I think the oil droplets being slung off of the rocker arms are being forced into the fitting and up the hose under suction and not being given a chance to drop back into the heads, the baffle stops that twocents [/

I should have clarified, but i am talking about the fitting that leads only to the vacuum gauge to monitor crankcase vacuum. Not the fitting and baffle to leads to the pump itself. They are in 2 diff locations. The pump hose fitting has a bafgle and is mounted in front of valve cover.

Btw, is there a better position for the baffle opening in that valve cover that you found is best? Right now, i have my opening pointing towards the header side. With the angle of the valve covers mounted on the heads, it is slanted downward away from the fitting opening. But, not sure if facing forward or center of engine is better? Thx
