Wider LSA gets you less overlap, but, the intake valve closes later creating less stroke for compression. The idle would be a bit cleaner with the wider LSA, but the earlier valve closing pays bigger benefits using the same cam. Take a look at the cards and see where the intake closes on each of your cams at the recommended installed CL. I bet the @ .050 numbers are pretty close

You have it installed at 104 compared to wherever the 112 was installed. Smaller the installed number earlier the valve closes. You are also filling the cylinder better with any increases in lift and maximizing the curve.

Lots of variables.
