I use heavy power wire cutters like the ones previously pictured. I used to cut it with a cut-off wheel never again. All kinds of debris in the lines, hit or miss flaring the braid then hard and finicky assembly. With the cutters like the ones pictured before I can make clean connections in literally a minute, black hose , steel hose, whatever. Using a cut-off tool is like using a hand sledge for framing. Sometimes you bend the nail, and you end up sore and possibly bleeding.
