Me thinks it depends on what part number carbs and year your working on
Cab,I've been restoring sixpack carbs since the early 90's,"never" had/seen any that the end sight plugs were higher than the center,all of these are as I said.
Bill after looking at all the carbs How do you remember whose are whose . LOL ..
to the OP .. get rid of that teflon tape on the connections its gonna end up on your needle seat . , it doesnt do anything to help for leaks ..
