To the OP, I understand your particular situation wanting to make the 8.75 work b/c you've already invested a lot in the housing and all. Not questioning that.

Just saying...one can build a complete Dana 60 from a truck housing for close to what it costs to build one of these aluminum 8.75 centersections and have a rearend that most cars will never break. The 9" is a little more expensive, but worth it IMO, especially when you get faster.
