You would need a piston stop ($10) & a degree wheel (fairly cheap) & a large one is better to work with but are $$$. there might be some utube vids on the procedure. #1 with the piston stop confirm the dampener slit is on TDC on the timing tab (or within 1 degree). EDIT you might search for someone local to come show you, it's a slighly twisted procedure (I had to read the procedure several times) but when you grasp it you'll have it & it is simple: How many degrees after TDC does the cam cyl #1 intake valve lobe reach max lift & I forgot you also need a dial indicator (clamp on or magnetic).
