Just throwing this out there, as a friend made this suggestion regarding my setup. I have a 69 Charger with a 440/512 Max Wedge Indy head engine, backed by a CRT 727 RMVB and a Dana 60 w/3.73 gears and 295/50 rear tires. I won't be drag racing the car, however would like to eventually take it on the Power Tour and long road trip here in Texas. His suggestion was to just switch over to an 8 3/4 rear end with 2.76 gears, and tighten the converter if required. I realize that I would lose a lot down low, however it blows the tires off pretty easy just about in any gear as it is. What are ya'lls thoughts? I like the simplicity, however also like my Moser 60 rear end assembly.
