On those motors, SB Mopar L.A. motors, the intake manifold acts as the valley cover over the camshaft and lifters as well as the intake manifold but due to the bottom of the manifold covering the lifter valley oil can be sucked up between the intake manifold gasket and the manifold and heads scope
The stock and some of the after market intake gaskets are stamped steel, not fiber so they will leak oil into the manifold quicker than the fiber gaskets do shruggy scope
