I think the 451 low deck stroker is the cheapest and easiest way to stay at low 12's. I had 400 block, steel 440 crank, KB quench dome pistons, ly 440 rods, 906 heads 181-214 valves and home ported, torqer intake, holley 800 dp, super stock springs, 727 reverse VB, had a cheep ger 10" 4000 converter till it fell apart then a dynamic, 8 3/4 4:10 gears, 28 x 9 MT, 66 plymouth sat full street interior was around 4000 lbs with me in it, for 7 years it ran 12.0'somthings, besides a couple of regualar small problems and tune ups I never really had to work on it. I'm just lazzy and when I go to the track I want to have fun and not have to be under the car all the time. At night I unloaded shut off the light and started it up for the next race. Good easy reliable cheap motor.
