You should be able to run high 10s easy in an A-body with a stock Eagle 5.7 and a little bit of boost. Mine's not an A-body but it's 3995 lbs and has run 11.46 @ 120 on only 6 psi. 93 octane and air/air intercooled. Super low dollar setup and I drive the heck out of it. Drag week, long cruises, daily driving, etc. 3.64 gears and a 6 speed.
