Where the heck do you put the pickup and magnet collar on a car with a TF and Dana 60? While trying to set up the drive shaft rpm sensor and pickup, I found that the slip yoke moves a lot more than I thought it would. Up to 3/8+ inch. I don't think it will provide a signal being that far out of line during some of the run. There is no room on the rear, and the slip yoke moves back and forth due to suspension travel, enough to move the magnets out of line with the pickup during launch for sure, and maybe other points of the run.
My driveshaft is three inch diameter, and at this point it looks like my only option, if my current setup fails to work, is to mount magnets on the driveshaft tube and put the sensor bracket on the ladderbar beside it. Anybody else have a better solution? will post pics in a few minutes
