I use an MSD 7AL-3 with a Pro Power coil. I use the Crane distributor as well. This dist. has 3 wires per side. Two are the signal wires from the MSD and the third (red one) need to have power 12v supplied to it. I believe the crane unit is the best unit available. There's no reluctor (sp?) or pickup like typical distributors.
