I'm getting ready to install my engine and trans into my 70 bee. I want to drop the K frame, attach the engine and trans to it and drop the car down over it. I've built a gurney 4 feet long and about 16" wide on 3" casters. I need to know where to go from here. I posted about this a long time ago, so long that the post is gone. One member had a great picture of him raising his early B body with his cherry picker by hooking chains to slots in the frame near the radiator core support. I would like to run this route because the Bee's nose is complete and getting the bumpers, valance and all the hardware off to attach the cherry picker out front would be very difficult.

So tell me your technique and what I should look for. Do I have to remove the tie rods, idler, pitman and center link from the K member? This is a 440 with TTi/CPPA headers. Anything I should look out for here?

Thanks!

I’m listening.
