Jboy thats not a heater core problem..
Well it's not water running into the evaporator!! Like I mentioned way back..... bad radiator cap, air leak at the hose from the overflow can contribute to this airpocket which will lead to this issue.
it will lead to one of the possible issues. not the only cause
