The engine fits better than you would think because it is basically a skirted small block with two extra cylinders. Magnum motors are shorter than an older small block because of the shorter water pump and no fuel pump eccentric. The V10 is only a couple of inches longer than an old small block. It is of course for a daily driver I have a set of w5 heads and an r block for my other car. I have a 340 with w2 heads already in my other other car I would like to take out and restore being a factory v8 4spd 2dr hard top signet 200 red on red. I am finally finishing up my 1500sqft addition after several years and will have the space in my garage as well as finances to do several things that have been put on hold for years. With all that said how heavy is a v10 I know the 4sp auto is a bit heavier but is it that much more than a slant 6 with cast iron everything. They even have magnesium valve covers.
