Also dynoed the motor. 426 hp and 491 tq. Not shabby for a stockish motor we played with the timing, jetting and different things and this was the best compromise. did see tq get up to 498 and hp did hit 435 at one point. also, the dyno guy wasn't the best at spelling...

VERY nice. was it dynoed with headers or the manifolds?

I sure wish I had been able to dyno my Purestock 440-6 before it went in the car; it's similar but is 10.75:1, Mr. Sixpack cam, internally balanced with custom Ross NHRA legal pistons and a crane roller rocker setup and a few other tweeks. I would guess that mine is in the 430 - 450hp range

What are you planning for exhaust?

Anyhow, GREAT job on the car. Keep the pics coming.

Dave

thanks! it was done with dyno headers, so I imagine the manifolds will put it down to the 410 hp range give or take. Im not entirely sure what his plans are for exhaust. dad has used a local guy to bend him up exhaust in the past and he does do nice work. probably be going with dynomax mufflers, either super turbos or ultra flos. havn't thought that far ahead yet haha. car never came with tips either so none will be going on. just turn downs for this car.
