A 32/36 Weber carb is a progressive carb. One barrel is primary and the other is secondary, at least all the ones I have seen!
Put it on a dual-plane intake on a 318 and it'll run really funny!

A 600 Holley four barrel is better in all respects, and tunable.

Poor man's cylinder delete/fuel management system! Just think, 4/8 cylinder power! LOL

To the op, why not just try to get another unmolested, (not high volume rebuilder rebuilt) carb, and go thru it yourself, the high volume guys often mix and match, not always with the best results.
The BBD may not be the greatest carb, but it would be far easier to make work.

It takes gasoline to interest me.
