The narrower the control arm spacing the more leverage effect wheel movement will have. Much like bracing yourself, a wider stance is a stabler one. The only benefit to having the arms inside the frame rails might be tire clearance.
While I admit I haven't looked at the Morrison stuff lately, my opinion of what I have seen is that it is more drag race oriented and not handling oriented. I assume you are looking for handling being that you posted here.
