YES . As a matter of fact , I did that exact thing. I had a rust free 1970 Barracuda slant six 3 speed . It was a rust free , turn key driver . I had everything to change it over to a 340 4-speed but I had no desire to do so. I respected the car for what it was , and sold it . The next owner made a 440 clone out of it .I personally never have cared for clones and fakes. I have never had a problem finding the real ones , and never had to pay very much to get them . Not bragging I'm just saying that's how I did it .
