Guys, let's step back a minute and ask "why?".
Why bother with all sorts of guesses and ideas when the OP can very easily CALL MANCINI and get the answer. No guessing involved!

Also, for 90% of all the bigblocks built, the 8519PT is sufficient gasket. Now if it hangs over the chamfer or otherwise into the bore, it won't work. But saying it isn't acceptable unless it has "armor" over the crush ring is just malarkey.
People on this board have run those supposedly inferior gaskets up to 11.5:1 compression without trouble.

Shoot, if you want to spend money on a gasket, get Cometics. At least they are reusable!
