FWIW, the added weight over the rear axle did not slow my dragster down one bit. If anything it was quicker due to better traction on our crappy tracks! That is not very good tire life from those gy's. I am running a set of GY2078 33x15x15 they are stiff sidewall D6 compound absolutely the best tire for me so far. All that said, IMO you need a stiff sidewall on your car. ....there is nothing like driving my 1968 Hemi Dart around town and having people looking at you like you're nuts!!
