I have a 86 MH that is on a Chevy P30 chassis. No hills in this part of the country and once it's rolling it's fine. There are basically 2 problems. One is wind, a serious cross wind is white knuckle driving. The other is gas mileage, mine gets about 4 to 5 pulling my 20ft enclosed. I only use it for multi day events. For other races we use a friends dually.
The next one I get will be a diesel pusher.
Pretty much the same as what I have...84' Winnie class A 23ft with a 454 on a P30. She is old and Heather says she smells but it is perfect for the track. I've towed 75-80 mph and get horrible milage..(5-6mpg) but there is nothing like having a bed ..shower and sh-per at the track. I'm hoping to get something a bit newer so Heather will go...
Eric this is the one I was telling you about at the track. Matt ended up buying it a few weeks ago off Gene Nagy.
Here's the one I bought a few month ago.
1970 Duster Edelbrock headed 408 5.984@112.52 422 Indy headed small block 5.982@112.56 mph 9.42@138.27
