Greg Lorsbach "old iron" has/had a shifter set-up he modified to use the stock location with a Jerico in his Plymouth .
I have a Jerico in my Cuda` with road-race sliders and you can shift with OR without the clutch.
I had planned to street it someday so I looked for one like this.
Easy shifting trans. Not sure how you could miss a gear in one of these.

PS. I`ve read that if you use 80w90 gear lube instead of the recommended synthetic it shifts much nicer at low/street speeds
