Too bad I just saw this post now. Ran into the same situation with my Cuda years ago before it became popular. You need to have a constant 12v at the ECM "WHILE CRANKING" which in a typical older car the ignition switch kills voltage output except for the starter solenoid. Glad you finally fixed it. Squier failed to put that in their wiring instructions and surprised they didn't supply it by now.
