Steve: With the amount of "Free play" we need and travel the t/o bearing does on the retainer, I'm guessing the "side" force from the t/o bearing is breaking the retainer, when you push on the pedal

Remember all the problems I had....I shimmed the fork ahead and all is good.

I think you should do the same.

I can't see how 1 short finger will cause all those issues.

I am surprised you can get away with using a 23 spline t/o bearing though, I was shipped that unit twice and didn't think it would work....maybe that (the lack of surface area vs the 18 spline )is compounding the problem?.

If that bearing won't stay on the fingers where is it going to go...and where will that force go???. something to think about.

I can't tell from the pics but, is there any amount of wear to the fingers?
