Not a problem to beef the trans up, but it is not cheap. You will want a billet drum for safety - Steel for street or aluminum for the strip. They also hold 5 standard thickness clutches. The aluminum front gear needs replaced with a steel gear. A manual valve body, and maybe stronger input and output shafts.
