Ok this may be a stupid question but I have to ask.

My motor is going back in this weekend and I choose to use an MSD Distributor and a MSD 6AL box.

My question is will I still need to hook up the original ballast and orange Controller or were those only used by the original distributor?

Thanks

No, With the MSD box, the origial ecu and ballast is no longer used.
I pulled the 2 connectors for the ballast ouf of the bulkhead conector, tied them as one and used it as my key on voltage for the MSD box.

Thanks!

I call it a controller but I guess I should really call it the Voltage regulator. Still same answer?

This is the charging system voltage regulator , and yes it stays as original.

This may help.

Sorry it didn't attach, anyway it was the instruction manual. PM me your e-mail address if you need it, I'll e-mail it to you.
