I'm running a 528 and it's a dog with the factory dual plane. Is the stage V intake the best breathing hemi intake that will clear a stock hood? Any good 4 barrel intakes that will clear?

The Indy 426-2 is fairly flat, so it should be good for hood clearance. Don't know how it works on a street Hemi.

Still should go high 11's!

I run the stock shaker hood/scoop on my cuda and have run a Ray Barton single plane with a Dominator as well as a Stage V with two Carters. Both fit but the single plane Dominator was a tight one! I probably lost some ET with the Stage V but I changed so many other things that it would be impossible to tell.

Isn't the Ray Barton intake about 2 or 3 inches taller than the stock intake?

Sounds about right. Never actually measured it, myself.

70 Challenger with a ralley hood and the air cleaner is right against the brace with the stock intake and air cleaner. 69 Charger, same thing. I know I could go with a six pack hood, etc but I'm resisting it on these cars. I'm thinking of buying another car so are there models with substantially greater clearance under the hood with a flat hood?
