What year and make car, A,B,E or C body ? I have a aftermarket tubular stock replacement K member for a early(pre 1967) A body that weighs one pound lighter than the stock K member . I'm going to send it back to have it modified to a front rack and remove the stock steering box mounts and stock engine mounts,( I'm using a front motor plate for a BB) remove the torsion bars and so on. I'm hoping those changes will lighten it up some

Look at CAP or RMS, or contact Bondo Bob for your car I'm switching my 1965 dart to coil overs with front rack and pinion steering for header clearnaces for the BB, not the weight savings. I do have a Strange Engineering front disc brake conversion kit for the car using the stock nine inch spindles so some weight will come of of the brakes, not sure how much I bought the Strange kit for the stopping power

I have a extra alterkation, 2500.00 and your stock one.
If this has all the candy , it is a screaming deal. I spoke with Bill when I got mine and we " negotiated " a decent discount and it was more than this. I liked the RMS piece because it came with everything , and had options available re; sway bar , motor mounts , shocks , brakes so you could tailor it to any potential use. Everything I read was positive and once I got it , I knew it was the good stuff.

What happened????
I thought you and Tory were buddies?? It seemed like you were dead set on buying his setup and it was gods gift to K frames
I still am "buddies" with Tory. I also would like to know what your opinions are on the listed K frames. It just seems there are so many options out there it's hard to decide on one. I know a lot about Tory's K frame but don't know much about the other two. They all look pretty identical to me. You guys had quite a bit of knowledge on K frames so I was just asking.

Awbdart, that vid was great!! That RMS performed perfect. The vid of the steering wheel on the run says alot!
W9/Jason of the 3 K Frames you listed, Id say None of the above.
The first one, has never been tested or seen any track or road time yet. As stated by the builder.
The second one, with the builders lack of response in his thread, before the sale. Scratch that one.
The third one, Ive heard nothing but bad stories about. Like breaking by just doing burnouts in a Burger King parking lot.
As far as some other proven options, RMS, Altercation, Bobs ProFab, Or just lighten and refab the stock one. mike

I haven't heard a good thing about the Magnum force kits, but they were the first of their kind and many others have made their own kits. The other two look to be well built kits as far as fabrication goes, although I don't like the look of the steering arms and ball joints in the overkill product. It's something that will change no doubt as he is in the early stages of development. Bob's front end seems to be a proven product, whereas the Overkill and Tory's product are new kids on the block so to speak. That's not a bad thing if you're prepared to work with either guy to help make any improvements if necessary.
Aesthetics do play a big part for most of us, some may prefer a completely tubular K-Frame (myself included), some may just want a product that works.
Either way, hats off to all of those who produce these front end kits as they would consume a bunch of time for what can be at times, very little reward.
