Gotta 90 dodge conversion van 318 auto. Recently has a starting problem. In the AM cold start it tends to flood itself. After i do get it running throughout the day it just wants to crank alot then will start. Runs good at town n highways speeds but cutsout....backfires....burps stumbles boggs etc if u go past half throttle. Has recent tune up and fuelpump replaced 2 yrs ago...is this a sensor like crank position or maybe fuel pressure regulator..?????
If I hafta come in and getchya.......I'm gonna getchya!

I would guess it's fuel-related. Start by checking fuel pressure.
It's Swifty! Swifty, you toad sucker!

update...changed throttle position sensor, and map sensor. Still wants to start hard it is -3 degrees this AM. started but was flooded for few sec. then cleaned out. When engine is still below full warm up wide open throttle produces full smooth power. Once its fully warmed up wants to cut out and bog at W O T.

Thats my next thought....after it is to full temp it is becoming tuffer to start.. No consistancy at all one time itl hit on the first crank, the next time it might take several long cranking attempts. Always starts but can be a real bear even warm.

Turns out that the tank vent was plugged at the charcoal cannister causing way high fuel pressure, tank was growing and causing high fuel pressure

that doesn't make any sense...if the tank vent was plugged, wouldn't the tent go into a negative pressure as you drive?
it's so cold outside, I don't see how there's enough gas evaporating out to cause the tank to build up a positive charge, but I may be wrong!
either way, I'm sure the plugged vent was causing some serious issues. sounds like you cleared the vent, and all is well now?

first 318 magnum was 92-93 later for 360 magnum premag 318 engines went roller cam(long nose) with carb in 85(non oil thru lifters/solid PRs) premag 318 roller cam(short nose) with tbi, came later 89 for premagnum 360 roller cam(short nose) with tbi in trucks 1990 premag 318/360 had oil thru roller lifters/hollow PRs and oiled both thru the heads to rockers and thru lifters/PRs early 92-93 magnums had the block drilled for thru head to rocker oiling..but was blocked at the head gasket by magnum heads( cam has no oil holes for LA style oiling later on magnums did not get the block drilled for thru head oiling

90 is non magnum
you sure about that? (Yes, I am)
I thought the 5.2L magnum started in 1988, and the 5.9L magnum started in 1989...
(You are reffering to the carb to tbi switch.)
