yes, the N stands for narrow. it's important to make sure you put the upper half in the upper half of the rod and vice-versa. failure to do that WILL result in engine damage. those bearing are clearly marked. do i think they will be okay? can't say since i'm not the guy doing the assembly but it "should" be.

I just clean em , lube em & stick em in..........i was told by a well known chevy engine builder over here that the reason these bearings look like they do is the heat treatment they get , usually these type bearings are used in race applications due to the extra hardening , so it stands top reason they will be a bit harder on journals , i have'nt looked on clevite site so may be wrong.
