Which side does the adjustable axel belong on, I beleive it's the right. ?? Am I right? And why would it matter?
Thanks
Right is the side the factory chose and is in manuals for uniformity sake. It doesn't matter which side you choose to put it on or if you have to under circumstances put in a used axle with good bearings and it has the adjuster use it on the other side too, using an adjuster on both sides. just set one side and and adjust the preload from the other.

Thank you guys, I thought that was the way. Green brngs are currently out of my budget. Getting layed off for July shutdown this year, with three more weeks in August and Sept. ( Ford )
Clean, inspect, and repack what you have if they are good. They are a superior bearing to the green bearing anyway and the couple of minutes more it takes to install them and as often as it is done (maybe once in a lifetime) just doesn't make sense.
