Anyone know a good way to open a trunk without a key? Friend lost his key. Thinking about drilling out the lock, don't know of any better way. I'm assuming drill in far enough to gut the cylinder, then use a screwdriver to pop the latch?

Depending on what it is...

Pull the back seat, and use every extension you have with a socket to un bolt the latch/catch.

Like Oz says; or if you can, squeeze through the package tray bracing to the trunk lock and turn the lock. Some will take a large screwdriver, some need a pair of channel-locks.
Or, call a locksmith.

Standard screwdriver with a slim point taped to a broom handle works for most old Mopars.

I didn't think about that. I assume it doesn't work. Otherwise we may both be idiots, but I will have to check now...

if button doesn't work simply find the wire down the carpet or kick panel area and power it up with a jumper wire from some batt source ( fuse box will work )

plug tipically must be around that area

normally, is a black wire

Reminds of my son in the road runner
"Dad put the window down"
"What? do it yourself"
"There is no button"
"That's what the cranks for"
"Oh"

What was I thinking....

Yep. I loaned a pickup to a girl at work for the weekend. Monday morning she thanked me, but complained that they would build a vehicle with windows that don't roll down. I showed her the window cranks....
