How is your timing? If you used the factory timing marks have you checked the timing marks VS the actual piston position? Sometimes the marks don't line up where the should be.
Is it missing or bogging at all?

SOMETHING IS WAY OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i used the caps to stress a point. it's not the vert or the trans.{ it should be faster than that with a stock vert and a 3.23 gear. small exhaust? cam off a tooth? no timing? too much timing?{which i doubt,it would probably be kicking back against the starter]
Yeah no s#it lol, something is definitly off, my piss ass junkyard 360 magnum with RHS heads run 12.5s @ 105 shifting @ 5100, make sure its getting good fuel supply. I'm also running a spool, its very easy to push on a straight!

OK....just to keep you informed
Took the engine out to see..
Looks like one rod bearing shot and the mains are in very bad shape.....too bad I waisted money on an engine builder for assy,.....sould have done it myself as usual. Dan
What the...?? How old was this motor? Hopefully the "builder" will stand behind it.
