I have made up a kit to relocate the Oil filter for Small Block Chryslers. I currently offer the kit with -10AN fittings and am wondering if I should offer it with -8AN fittings. ![](http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k118/W8_LA360/oilplate.jpg) My main apprehension is the ID of the -8AN fittings is around 0.100" smaller than the -10AN and the original fitting. Is the smaller fitting going to provide a detrimental restiction for a mild engine? Thoughts? Comments?

I would think that the -8 would be more in line with the supply size right before the plate.... but the -10 will always work... good looking part ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbs.gif) ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif)

On a performance engine, I wouldn't personally use anything less that -10, I have been asked for -8 though. I might make a few fittings and see how they go.
Thanks

I was thinking(scary) the pick up tube is 3/8 pipe which is 3/8 ID and you had a -10 which is 5/8 ID -8 is 1/2 ID so either should be fine(the first restriction in line is the one controlling the flow) Ok I'm going back to sleep ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif) EDIT and thats the suction side which is normally larger ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif)
