If it's factory it should have a drain. Drain the old fluid out of it thru a paint strainer. If it's clean and red, and there's no metal in the strainer after, just pre-fill it with a quart of fresh stuff and use it. Be aware the stall will not be what it was with the 340 tho.

Well, art is art, isn't it? Still, on the other hand, water is water! And east is east and west is west and if you take cranberries and stew them like applesauce they taste much more like prunes than rhubarb does. Now, uh... Now you tell me what you know.

Not all OEM TC's had drain-plugs .. most did though. Buying and then using a used converter is TAKING-A-CHANCE. Just like a used cam(a topic I started a bit ago). Draining the ATF and checking-that is a good start but not a guarantee. ALSO ... if the converter is junk .. it could hurt the trans itself.

Bottom line ... it is a gamble.

SHOULD BE good-to go !

You should have had one of my full-coverage hub covers to protect the hub and keep all the dust and dirt out.
