yep, running the 98 and up 5.9 in my car. 65 coronet vert. Also have a topic on here somewhere on how to do it on the cheap using the mustang 5.0 efi system. Fury Fan is doing all the work on it. My post here fell off the board, but the one in the coronet board is still there. http://www.dodgecoronet.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9664&highlight=magnum Running the stock intake and painless controler. The self tuning Fast system seemed intereesting and now you can get the carb intake for around 200 bucks it would probably be the easiest way, and one of the cheaper. But I figure it will still wind up in the 2k range when done.

Awesome pics and info... many thanks! I was able to pick up an almost new F.A.S.T. efi setup for dirt cheap that was made specifically for the late model 5.9L. I am gonna run the carb with the serpentine setup for a short while and then go to the fuel injection... Thanks again for the pics.

Stock stroke Small blocks are slow in B-bodies?? Man... I guess I'm hosed. I suppose it depends on your definition of "fast" huh? A converter change and I should be "knocking" on 11's this year Gotta wait for the body shop to finish the work first though with my "heavier than a B-body" van. That being said, I'm researching doing EFI in my van next year. Looks like Edelbrock EFI Manifold, Throttle body and injector rails (abour $900 for those), 8 x 880cc/min (83 lb/hr) injectors (not sure on $$ for those yet), dual walbro in tank 255 lph pumps (buying a new stock replacement tank to modify for this) (estimating $800-$1000 for fuel system), Accel Dual Sync DFI distributor (about $450), sensors and wiring and probably gonna try the Megasquirt 3 + MS3X for sequential EFI setup first (about $600 for that stuff). I figure between the fuel system and all other parts, she should come in around $3.5k for this setup, and be ready to support up to 1000 horsepower, far more than the current engine makes, but I like to overbuild things for future "upgradability" . I.E. addition of Turbo Charger and removal of Nitrous System.

not a chance you'll make a 1000hp on $3500. $ for $ ..and I love cool junk (6 packs, superchargers, turbos)... but a good soild BB will whomp SB especailly in a 65-72 B-body. I'll be running high 11's in a stock stroke .030 iron head 440 w/ a small solid cam. The truck did look nice and cool van! Dude had a SBC van running 12.80's at our track.

The $3500 is for a 1000hp capable "fuel system" and EMS, not the entire setup. I'd be using the same small block I have now, and no turbos... yet. :P As for the BB whomping a SB, true more cubes = more power and generally more torque, but its all in how you do it and what you want I suppose. I like nitrous on my stock stroke 360 cuz its mild enough to drive daily (13.70 @ 99 on motor alone in my brick) and wild enough for bottom 12's with the turn of a valve and the flip of a switch I'm pretty sure though a 3800 lb B-Body with a 425 hp small block (like mine) would run awful close to high 12's, 13 flats. Again, depends on your definition of fast
There's a Chevy Van running 9's out there on a 400 sb + nitrous, fyi. It's on YouTube as well haha.

This will not cause you any clearance issues.
What set-up is that - Is that the EZ-EFI? And where did you get those valve covers. I like 'em!
