I have one in mine...if you are racing a stock block like we are, it wont matter what HP level you are at...its a good thing to have...
whose are you thinking of using..CRE's??thats what I have..
i have to agree with that.i used a 3/8 on my stk blk with stock caps/studs.

At what hp level do you need one?? Thanks!! Ted
On whose dyno?
FWIW, I saw signs of cap walk on mine when the engine was pushing 3700#s to 117-118 MPH. Those were OEM caps held down by ARP studs, if it makes a difference.

I am considering one as well in my 440/498 stroker. Engine is in the car and I didnt build it so not sure what is down there. Need to replace the pan so I have read that some need machine work to the block for proper fitment. Is there a reasonably priced unit that can be direct bolt in without removing the engine and needing machine work? (as in what I have read in tech articles about the block needing to be line honed for studs) Whats the story? anyone know difference regarding a kit so this can be avoided?
