rebel master Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 4,647 aotearoa	Personally if i was still using stock blocks i'd be considering a girdle from 600 hp up. it's a piece of mind thing. the cost of added insurance is cheaper that the failure it produces.

Bill MeLater mopar B Joined: Nov 2008 Posts: 671 Wisconsin USA	I had fairly severe cap walk at a little over 500 hp (but it is a stick car) Put a Hughes girdle on it last fall. Nice setup and very reasonably priced.

FWIW, I saw signs of cap walk on mine when the engine was pushing 3700#s to 117-118 MPH. Those were OEM caps held down by ARP studs, if it makes a difference.
