Are you sure they're welded and not bondo'd !!
Why would a bodyshop weld all those holes up ?!?!?!
Yes they are welded. For some reason a lot of the holes were bad (would not hold the screws any more). So they all were welded.

It's not crital where they go, there is 13 of them on a E body. Don't know what kinda of car your working on.
trying to drill through weld is tough, as said its not critical where they go just space them out evenly and try not to hit the welded holes.

Cool, car finally coming home, I like that. Hey, the method I have seen is to first use new clips with the bottom edge of the clip resting on the bottom of the channel. That should put them in the proper depth. as far as where to place each clip, I have 2 cars I can check and will be in the shop tomorrow, call me. I sit next to you at the CCM meetings selling raffle prizes, so you know who I am!
Well you weren't there last Tuesday. We all missed your verbal banter. On the up side I did win the door prize. I seem the remember people calling you names on the way out of the meeting. HA! I'll call after 8:00 sometime. Mike
PS I tried calling, nothing. All I have is your home #. I'll be sanding on the trunk.
